A few others have mentioned this - I haven't been able to reproduce.

There is no real detection there per say. You need to choose the correct
display.

Mine have ohci - yours use uhci?  usb-ohci is built into the PPC kernel

Those figures were provided by someone:

/usr/share/ldetect-lst/MonitorsDB

Apple; iBook 800x600; 0; 28.0-50.0; 43.0-75.0

So you are saying they are too low?  I haven't had anyone else with an
ibook mention that, but they can certainly be changed.

For applications, just run what you can.  I spent some time Monday going
through the menus and found a few bugs myself.
