You can safely ignore this error.  It's just a bug in the initscripts.
You can update to the one here which will fix it:

At the boot prompt type:
linux 3

Where linux is the name of your label for your kernel (by default it's
usually linux).  That will boot you into init level 3 where you'll have
a normal text console.
