Hi,

I've had partial success to share, and would like any tips on getting over the
next hump.

booting off the installer CD works, and the only way it seems to get anywhere
is with this line in yaboot:

install-gui-benh text video=ofonly

And I was able to do the text install, but now it won't boot.

It says pivot_root failed.

Basically the kernel gets a panic saying it needs an 'init=' parameter.

How would this be formulated if the partitions are as follows:

hdd6 = bootstrap
hdd7 = /
hdd8 = swap
hdd9 = /var

When I boot into rescue, it does not see the HD at all (presumably because
rescue doesn't use benh kernel?)

TIA.
