[Cooker] FTP/telent

I seem to have found a small prob i think ... 

telnet and FTP will not allow you to connect to your linux machine from outside
or inside for that matter ... 

i have it set to user /etc/passwd and etc/shadow for place to find passwds and
every time i try to log in from my windows / linux machine i get login failure 

not sure what is going on here ... 


any one else have this problem
