This is FALSE. The default postfix configuration is binded to localhost. So if, for some season, you bind your localhost to your external IP address, then your postfix is, indeed, acting as a open relay.
his problem seems to be different. IF your external IP is on a broadcast network AND IF you change inet_interfaces THEN you are an open relay
and i think we should prevent lusers shooting themselves if we can, see my previous post for a possible solution
