Fresh Install expert developer first time with all, second time with slide at
minimum ....
With last kernel , soon at boot, it disappear screen , I need blindly CTRL
ALT CANC when hd led stop blinking to shutdown and from another functional
cooker install I extract from /var/log/messages of kernel 2.2.17-2

it seems my laptop don't like frame buffer (with kernell-pcmcia-cs-2.2.17-1 I
