I had once problems with some ttf fonts I installed manually. Another reason
might be a wrong path in the xfs config. Check your xfs config in
/etc/X11/fs/config. Also try to check the XFree log itself for the
endless "looping" problem. If you use startx instead of g/k/xdm, you
see the messages on the screen (Runlevel 3 must be used, you can
switch to it manually by invoking 'telinit 3').

This certainly is not the problem. I have turned this option on all the
times and never had any problem. I also set client-limit to 20.
Oh yes for error logging check out:
# how to log errors
use-syslog = on

If that is the case you should get errors concerning xfs.

Strange, never had this Problem. 7100 should be the default port, if
the fs settings are not changed.
