Sony Trinitron Multiscan 420GS 19" Monitor

METHOD OF INSTALLATION/UPGRADE = hd.img upgrading over existing cooker
upgrade over a fresh install
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) POST INSTALL: Asks twice, instead of once, if you have anyothere nic
cards after finding an ethpro100.

2) POST INSTALL: Still no ability to make a bootdisk on the ls120
drives (known issue)

3) POST INSTALL: Printer test page on the HL_1240 still prints
slightly to the left...but am used to this for the past 6 months...have
already tried hacking some stuff.

4) INITIAL BOOT: unresolved symbols in usbmouse.o? to solved, tried
to move the stuff around, rebooted several times, killed a chick and
voila, it works now....don't ask me how.
One thing i did try to do was mv /lib/modules /lib/modules-old and then
in the /usr/src tried make modules but got an error mid way thru
(probabely have to re-build the kernel)
Also, i'm finding that i must disable kudzu to stop re-detecting the
usbmouse device. Once it re-detects it, it actually disables it. can't
remember if it unloads the module or edits something....sorry for the
lack of info.

5) INITIAL BOOT: NVidia driver .9-7 fails to build from Source RPMS
(rpm -bb --clean NVIDI*spec*)...weird...unressolved symbols when trying
to insmod the nvidia.o driver which resulted in me trying to rebuild the
source rpms.

6) DESKTOP: Linuxconf & Netconf fail to run. something about a wine
error? wow! This must've been a bad time to download the cooker!

7) NETWORK: As a result of not having linuxconf/netconf, i cannot
configure my ethernet card properly. The only drak tool that would work
was the "Network Profile" prg....had access to dns and gateway settings
etc. No other tools would help besides directly going to edit the
config files manually.
