One thing i did try to do was mv /lib/modules /lib/modules-old and then in the /usr/src tried make modules but got an error mid way thru (probabely have to re-build the kernel) Also, i'm finding that i must disable kudzu to stop re-detecting the usbmouse device. Once it re-detects it, it actually disables it. can't remember if it unloads the module or edits something....sorry for the lack of info. 5) INITIAL BOOT: NVidia driver .9-7 fails to build from Source RPMS (rpm -bb --clean NVIDI*spec*)...weird...unressolved symbols when trying to insmod the nvidia.o driver which resulted in me trying to rebuild the source rpms. 6) DESKTOP: Linuxconf & Netconf fail to run. something about a wine error? wow! This must've been a bad time to download the cooker! 7) NETWORK: As a result of not having linuxconf/netconf, i cannot configure my ethernet card properly. The only drak tool that would work was the "Network Profile" prg....had access to dns and gateway settings etc. No other tools would help besides directly going to edit the config files manually. -- ----- http://www.alltel.net/~rogerx/ My ICQ UIN# = 21252173 (Reply only in ascii/text format.
