Personally I don't know what you're talking about... My install of all the
cooker versions and the final release have included nslookup, traceroute,
ping, etc. Correct me someone if I'm wrong but I believe some of these can
be found in the bind-utils package.

The NVIDIA issue was decided before the release of 7.2, so it's pretty much
a mute point. Besides, it's more effective to compile the drivers yourself.
If you are looking for mandrake rpms please check out my list of NVIDIA
packages that Con was nice enough to package up for us cookers. He's
stepping down from making them so I will pick it up from here for the

The only problem I can relate to is the scanner problem but I've got an old
and rather bad scanner and I haven't played with it at all to see if I could
get it working. Also, if you're trying to play a DVD without the NVIDIA
drivers installed and working.. it probably won't work.
