OOPS----- I hadn't run ScannerDrake first before clicking on the 
link...... this is the first time the I have actually been able to run 
XSane!!!!!! YEEEEESSSSSSSS

Am I always going to have to run ScannerDrake before XSane so that XSane 
will run?? And if so, why?
