Interesting - i've noticed something related since installing Cooker. Quite a lot of things I tried to compile required that same library. It turns out to be part of an earlier version of libstdc++ - it's provided by the 8.2 package libstdc++2.10-2.96-0.76mdk , which isn't included in Cooker. Cooker has a later version of the library, packaged as libstdc++3.1-3.1.1-0.5mdk , which doesn't provide this library. I tried to live without it for a bit but the amount of stuff that required it was just too large, so i've installed the 8.2 package - it seems to install fine alongside the cooker one. -- adamw
