As someone has already pointed out, the notifications are useless because only root users can install the .xpis. I was just pointing out that the null plugin is extremely annoying. I have no specific grudge against Macromedia (although I haven't yet seen a good use of flash). It's just that animated flash banner ads are annoying, and the null plugin even more so when it badgers you to install something. -- -- Igor
