My ex was cooking lentils in a pressure cooker once and the seal blew on it. Nobody was hurt, but it left an unholy mess in the kitchen, and they were still finding remnants of the event ten years later in nooks and crannies in the kitchen. It was an old pressure cooker, so it was probably compromised.
