Some kitchen counters are more heat resistant than others. Engineered stone, brand name Corian, is not. That's why we didn't buy it when we remodeled our kitchen. Not sure about the older surfaces. But a lot also depends on the feet at the bottom of the air fryer. How tall are they, at least 1/4 inch?
