Hi Paul, Unless I'm mistaken, coot doesn't handle MRC maps in mode 12 (16-bit floats <https://www.ccpem.ac.uk/mrc-format/mrc2014/>) correctly. At least with coot-1.1.19 I couldn't get such a map to display, but converting it to mode 2 (32-bit floats) and loading the converted map works just as expected.
If that's all correct, I would humbly request that support be added for mode 12 MRC maps, which I work with very frequently.
