To address the above concern for everyone, the change is restricted
only to commit messages and should not effect anything else:

* The worst you can get is few false positives.

* There are advantages in rewriting the commit message content to suit
our new VCS, and that's reason for this discussion.

* Finally, we have already tested this once and gathered feedback. We
should be testing our final plan one more time before we go for real.
