Hello all :) What an interesting newsgroup! I was searching for the etymology of "mellitus" for my biology course and stumbled across "Correct my English." I'm supposed to be studying for exams, and being the procrastinating type, I stopped to read your posts and decided to join. I hope you don't mind if I pop in every now and then? If I can make any contributions I will gladly do so.
My native dialect is Australian English, but my father is British and I am currently living in the United States, so I have become very interested in dialectal differences. I also have a background in psycholinguistics (although I have left the field) and speak various other languages rustily.
