A question fellow Coupers. If anyone has recently overhauled an engine
I'd be interested in hearing about your costs.

A message stated that 6K was way too high. I haven't done any solid
pricing yet, but was coming up with figures not too far off.

I was assuming when I opened my 0-200 I'd put new millenium cylinders
on it. That's close to 3000 right there. The best price I've seen is a bit
over
700 each. The original cylinders are the early ones that require retarded
timing
and are on their second runout.

Next the rockers have to be overhauled. How about lifters, yellow tags
for the crank, crankcase, bearings, connecting rod bolts & nuts, rod
overhaul etc etc.

If any of the gears in the accessory case are worn more big bucks.

Since my 0-200 is on it's second runout I'd love to hear that I could get
by for less bucks than I think.

Some actual figures would be greatly appreciated.
