I assume you mean $6,000 if you do it with a mechanic's help. $6,000 is barely getting started at a lot of shops. I do not believe that is a bad price for an engine overhaul but it seems high if you are doing the work. I would send the crank to Elliot Crankshaft in Florida. They advertise in TAP and do a real good job. Don't forget to take a look at the ClassicCast cylinders. The ones for these engines are all-new and have steel cylinders, which can be a plus or minus depending upon how you look at it. They are possibly also available in some cerachrome wall or something. I've had mine with the steel for about a year and they are real good. www.eci2fly.com Glen Ward __________________________________________________ To unsubscribe from this list please send mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ____________________________________________________________ T O P I C A -- Learn More.
