thanks to everyone's advice, I put an offer in on an Alon. I'll know more after a pre-purchase inspection. It has a decent paint job, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with stripping a painted plane and polishing the aluminum. Would this be more expensive than a re-paint job? How much effort is needed to keep a shine on the bird?
