Jeff;   I would suggest removing the header tank from the aircraft. You
most
likely will find that there are more possible leak sites that need to be
repaired. If you have the aluminum tank with the riveted seams, it is a
tedious, but not too difficult job to take it apart and do a proper
repair.
If you have the welded tank, it is still possible to make repairs, but one
must solder or weld each and every leak. You might talk to John Wright,
Jr.,
in Springfield, IL. He has made repairs and complete rebuilds to several
tanks. I don't have his phone number handy, but you can get it from his
mother, Rita Wright, whose number is listed in Coupe capers every issue.
The
most difficult task is often the one of removing the tank after it has
spent
50 plus years resting in the Coupe! Good Luck!
