Piker! I went to Ercoupe Owners Club with Opal Walker.
He got the Oldest Pilot going away. At 90, the second
was way behind. Yes, we flew. His plane; Roswell to
Terrell, `bout 6 hours each way.

True, to a point. However, the Federal Government is
currently under pressure in the medical department.
Many companies would like to get their meds through
the FDA so they can sell `em and make money (sound
familiar?). Bottom line = government is slow, and NOT
up with the latest medical knowledge.

As one who is afflicted in this way, I can see wisdom in
your points. And it is extreamly hard to asess ones own
condition. But we have to face facts. Is the medical still
valid for the type of flying we do? Is it overkill? Or just
something that can be fosted on the flying public, when
trying it on the driving public would get congress linched.
