On my trip to Nevada, I once topped out at 14,500 density altitude in
medium turbulent air (that's light turbulence in FAA/heavy metal terms).
True altitude was only 11500 that afternoon. I've often cruised at 12500
with some climb left.

Subject: [COUPERS] max altitude achieved...

I took the Coupe up to 5,500 which is about 5000 AGL around here in the
Dallas area. Anyone have an idea what the record is for altitude in a
Coupe?
With the top open it was cold up there even though it was about 95 on the
ground. As I decended, I guess my clothes were cold enought to have the
humidity create a damp feeling in my shirt. Coupes are cool. Let me know

what the max alt should be, seeya'll, ED
