Well, I took N99387 for its first long cross-country today. On a hot day
it
was happy to shoot up to 9500' and it still had 500FPM in her, but I was
cool enough at 51 degrees so I cut it out. Besides, at 11,500 I wouldn't
have been able to see the ground through the haze.

Of course, that's with a 130# pilot and an O-200, so maybe that's not
quite fair. Compared distance-to-climb with a Cherokee 140 owner
on return and he said 'heck, I only WISH I could do that good.'
