In Richard (lately known among coupers just as 'the Dick') Collins'
defense, he frequently uses the shortcomings of his own airplane,
the Cessna 210, to illustrate safety bugaboos. The 210 is the poster
child for a number of mechanical and non-mechanical types of
accidents.

Taken another way, one could say that he has repeated what we've
said in this group all along... ...that the Ercoupe is not a 'toy' and
that it's a real plane that requires real piloting skills some of which
are more akin to those required to fly a high-performance aircraft,
versus a powered box-kite.
