As some of you will recall, N99387 gave me a bit of scare when the ailerons started to do a little dance that gave me cause for concern. I've since re-approached 120MPH rather gingerly and very alert, and haven't seen such a thing develop. I've kind of concluded that I had a wing loading condition that was probably nil due to a 1500FPM downward descent, and that isn't really normal. In level flight, N99387 will just nudge 121MPH with the throttle full forward and the canopy open. (Before you get all excited, it's still 100-105MPH at 75% power.) Things are rock-solid in that condition. So I tend to conclude that when I saw the strangeness, the wings just didn't know whether to flex up or down.
