I am the one who has one. I bought it for my Maule. My particular model wasn't on their STC list. I called them and they had me send in a letter requesting they do so. It took about 2 months for them to get it added. At that point the paperwork is no more than a 337 stating installation was in accordance with STC ## etc. I'm no expert, but even without the coupe being specifically mentioned, reference to any of the other gravity fed aircraft in a 337 should bring an approval, especially since it is one of the best safety devices around. They have a flow TRANSDUCER which is made specifically for gravity feed systems. I suspect it is larger in diameter than the one I got for the fuel pumped Maule. I love the unit. I think the JPI is superior to the EI unit. Serial I/O is included. I don't use it, but it is there for when I mount a permanent GPS. It will then display miles per gallon and miles to fuel out. I get time in Hrs:Min now. One thing that these gadgets will catch is a broken float or a leak downstream from the transducer. While that isn't far, it would have saved my crash in a Lancair a few years ago due to a broken float.
