Damn right the punishment must exceed the crime ! If we do nothing- prepare to be a slave to fear. Pakistan will allow us access, the West will stand with the US. Regardless, this war will end. No one will have won, but Freedom will be defended and murderer's will be punished. Greetings All, So, you want the punishment to exceed the crime? Why not put an Arabic child in front of a firing squad. That will teach them rag-heads won't it? Am I the only sane person around here? Isn't freedom of religion one of the things that make this country free? Aren't there people that are born here in the United States that are or Arabic descent and had absolutely nothing to do with the events last week, but are being punished for it? I served 20 years in the U.S. Military. I saw the atrocities of war in Bosnia. I'm tired of all this anti-Arabic let's get revenge type attitudes. Let justice be served but let's do it in a fashion commensurate with a mature way of thinking. I would hope that we are civilized enough to let our maturity show the world what being civilized is all about. Go after the perpetrators, not just people that look like them. Identify the enemy and take them out. Don't even get started on the collateral damage aspect. That collateral damage could be your child, sister or mother. Just because a group of people decided to break all the rules doesn't mean we have to. The fact that we are the bigger person is why we have so much world respect and support right now. Take that away and we are no better than they are. If you want revenge, then take your freedom and go for it. All I ask is that you be the one to cast the first stone. Just do it in front of the media, so you can be the one credited with being no better than the cowards flying those birds into the WTC. After that we can all wait around and see how long we can keep our so called freedom.
