Greg and all,
I wrote my Senators and a couple other important ones, also the house, but
not my representative, he is doing like he did on the drug problems when
he was US Attorney in Ft. Smith (nothing), but I did write a couple other
representatives.
I suggest everyone write DC, and more than once or more than one person.
The following is my letter:

I am in small aircraft maintenance, they mostly fly under Part 91. Part 91
VFR flight has been closed down for a full week now. Most Part 91
operators work on a day to day basis, if lucky it is week to week. It is
by no means a one to three month to the next one to three months type of
operation. I am already feeling the vise tighten on my neck. There are six
airplanes done, there are 11 waiting to come in. The ones that are here
cannot leave, so no money for the work. The ones wanting to come in cannot
do so, no money from them either.

"They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary
safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."
Benjamin Franklin
Historical Review of Pennsylvania, 1759

The CEOs of the airlines met in Washington to beg for $24,000,000,000.00,
now if they get it, which they most likely will, are they going to devide
it up with all of the part 91 operators they are putting out of business?
Will Congress push the so called advisors to put us back into operation,
then we could go back to work, and we would not be so weak as to ask the
tax payers to bail us out. We would go to work and work with our own hands
to get back on our feet. We would not come to Washington, begging the tax
payers to bail us out.

In 1950s I was 18 years old and in the United States Air Force, we were as
all veterans fighting for the statement Benjamin Franklin made 191 years
earlier, among all of our other freedoms and rights. Part 91 flying a
privilege, I think not, I fought for rights. The right to worship, the
right to speak my opinion, the right to make a good an honest living, that
has not been taken from me by so called advisors. They say the terrorist
could use the small airplanes to drop Bo-chemicals in water supplies. So
we in General Aviation are paying for the attacks on the World Trade
Center. Did they stop all automotive movements when a truck was used to
bomb the WTC the first time or when McVey bomb the Federal Building in
Oklahoma. If the airlines, National Security Administration, Federal
Bureau of Investigation to name a few, had been doing what the tax payer
pays them for, this would not have happened. Who is now paying for it? We
tax payer who was paying them to do a job, that they failed to do. Our
terrorist are not hidden faces, they are people we have paid to do a job,
and they failed. I would fire an employee with their record.

We need to fly yesterday, not 30 to 90 days in the future.

I have never ask the government for anything, unemployment, welfare, food
stamps, and at 68 years, have still not drawn on social security, all I am
asking now is for the government to give me back my ability to buy my
food, pay my rent and utilities, that will be done by stopping the cover
my _ _ _ advise given our President by the people unable to do their job,
SECURITY.

Thank you for your most valuable time. Sincerely, Robert Parker
