I strongly agree with Joe's observations. The alphabet
groups are doing the best they can. They have no input
to the national security team that is calling all the
shots right now.

In addition, there are plenty of anti-airport,
anti-airplane noise folks out there that would love to
turn this situation to their advantage. Given that
most of us are just being inconvenienced in pursuing
our hobby, we definitely don't want to come across as
petulant and unconcerned about national defense in the
eyes of legislative officials whose support we will
continue to need.

And I must say that I'm encouraged by the swift
response of the Navy/Air Force interceptors because,
if you think GA has problems now, the successful use
of one of our category aircraft in a terrorist attack
could make today's inconvenience nothing compared to
the GA backlash that would result.

Let's just be patient and hope all gets back to normal
soon.
