This brings up an interesting question. Do you have to have an IFR
certified airplane to file IFR in VMC (and with your abc up your xyz. C?
;)? In other words, yawl who art unfortunate enuf to live in wedding cake
land, why not file IFR or find a friend who is IFR rated to file IFR and
fly yo airplanes out if the sugar icing and into the calm blue yonder?

Alan, How hard is it to remove the wings of a coupe?
I spoke to a Tx DOT supervisor today about taxiing
or towing my coupe to an airport outside the TCA.
Cost for permit is $5.00 only restriction is that the
aircraft must be towed, firmly attached to the tow
vehicle with a ridgid towbar and I must have a vehicle
behind the airpalne with flashing lights.
It might work if I can find an airport that has tiedown
space available.
