If the ignition is shut off then back on with the engine running, there
is an excellent chance of blowing the muffler off.

I accidentally did this during run-up. I managed to turn the switch
to right rather than both when I started. Then when I went to
switch to the left mag I went to off. As soon as the engine quite firing,
my Pavlonian response was to immediately turn it back on. I was rewarded
with a very loud bang as the unburned fuel that had been pumped
into the exhaust now ignited.

Fortunately I had no damage to my exhaust system.
