If the ignition is shut off then back on with the engine running, there is an excellent chance of blowing the muffler off. I accidentally did this during run-up. I managed to turn the switch to right rather than both when I started. Then when I went to switch to the left mag I went to off. As soon as the engine quite firing, my Pavlonian response was to immediately turn it back on. I was rewarded with a very loud bang as the unburned fuel that had been pumped into the exhaust now ignited. Fortunately I had no damage to my exhaust system.
