Second, tell us where you're located. That way, one of us who's near
you can take the first step and give you an Ercoupe ride and check-out.

Third, don't for a moment think that you're restricted to pedal-less 
airplanes. Even
though Ercoupes are more fun, there are hand controls for lots of other 
planes. Of
course, that doesn't matter, because once you've flown the Coupe you'll be

willing
to go up the wing-walk in a hand-stand to fly the damned thing. Especially

if you're
an ex-fighter jock who appreciates decent ailerons.

By the way, the brake pedal can certainly be hit with either leg from 
either side.
