Bob:
Your post raises some questions for me. 1) Exactly where on the rear spar
did they place the jack to raise the plane off the mains? 2) Where did
they take their initial measurements that led them to believe there is a
3/4" difference on the rear left wing attachment fitting? 3) How long is
this "jig bar" and where do they want to place it? 4) What damage to the
walkbox...how'd it get there?

My first impression is this.......I've never seen nor heard of anyone
lifting the plane off the mains by jacking at the rear spar of the wing.
I
would +never+ let someone do this to my plane. Main spar, yes, but not
the
rear! Secondly, it may be that your plane was damaged resulting in a bent
rear spar. I have seen rear spar repairs using a graft of a good spar to
a
damaged one but, I would want to know more about this "jig bar" thing they
propose. In short, I think you need to ask them more questions about the
repair they are proposing. Maybe someone on the list knows about this
type
of repair. Can't wait to hear how it turns out!
Jim
