  I am totally unaware on how to make this repair.  However I do have a
question that you might not have asked the mechanic. "Who is paying for
this
repair?"  If the previous owner refuses to pay for it, then the mechanic
is
within the law to place a "mechanic's lein" on the airplane.  Then you are
stuck with the bill.
