Having the buyer have to riviet them up and seal them defeats
the purpose and advantage of having a pro do so, and pressure
test them.

Another option is to 'repair' existing tanks in the same way that
some companies 'repair' exhaust manifolds. That is, you get your
manifold back with every piece replaced except one or two of the
original flanges :-)

You could get your tank back with the original filler neck, and all
new aluminum around it. Save shipping, cut the filler neck section
away with tin snips before you send the 'tank' in for 'repair' :-)

(My grandfather owned Abe Lincoln's axe. Of course it  had had
6 new heads and 13 new handles since Abe owned it...)
