Warren, it's going to be a lot cheaper TO ME to have someone who
cranks out fuel tanks all day do the work than to have an A&P fiddle
around with putting the pieces together. If I can even find an A&P who
has the time, and the skills, and the willingness to do it, in this area.
Which I probably can't.

Maybe your circumstance is different. Fact is, we CAN'T get tanks from
Univair, and if someone is willing to go to the effort to produce a
finished
Ercoupe wing tank then they deserve to get paid full measure for the
completed job. Now if they're willing to sell you a kit, that's between
you
and them.

But the proposal on the table was for completed, pressure-tested tanks.
A lot of us would be real happy if those were around.

And if we can find a way to make it legal (which is, I believe, the way I
suggested) then we should give them all the encouragement and help
we can.
