Lynn, all you do is remove the tanks from the airplane.  The rivets are in
the
flanges on the rear and sides of the tanks.  Just carefully drill them
out.  No
reason to cut holes in the end of the tanks.  This should only be done
under the
supervision of an A & P mechanic.
