I'm looking at a '66 Alon with relatively low time (1600 hrs), and I
need to get the answers to the following questions pretty quick:1. How much is a new paint job? I would want to restore it to the original white w/red&black trim, and I'd like to use Imron or equiv. I believe there will be a fair amount of sanding involved, because the paint is cracked and peeling. 2. Who would you recommend in the CT/NJ/NY/ eastern PA area to do a pre-buy? 3. The NAV/COM is original and needs to be replaced. Any suggestion on replacement(I would probably add an intercom) and costs? 4. The plane was treated about 4 years ago with CorrosionX? Can anyone tell me about this process and its effectiveness? 5. I haven't seen the compression figures from the annual, but how concerned should I be about the engine time? Any help would be appreciated. I need to give the seller an answer by Wednesday. Thanks, Leigh
