Greg, this is just my opinion, but I'd replace that knob! I have a bright red vernier control on the mixture that feels very different from the throttle in your hand, and a different small pull knob for carb heat. Even by feel, it's hard to mistake one for the other. I feel that's a rather poor set-up you have now, and this stuff is not expensive.
