The Northern wing leader sets the places north for the planes from around Monterey, Paso Robles. the Valley, Fresno, Livermore, S.F. area S.J., Sacramento and beyond. Southern Ca. set the fly ends for there, Lompoc, Harris Ranch, Lancaster, San Monica, San Diego Bakersfield , and south of Paso Robles. There has always been one large event a 2 to 3 day one, where we have had planes make it from Az. and Nv... then there is two or so campouts that most can make if they choose too. Nevada, has always had the Halloween bash, up there, they come from a little bit of every where to that one. The large event each year was ran, much like the Az. wing ding... with one trophy for best of show picked by the pilots and guess... merchandise, has been donated from oil, to about any thing from several company's, here in Cal. and are raffled off that is the only money event of the year. As a rule it is in Sept. after the fog lifts from both North and South. All in all There has been about 10 to 15 planes average to each monthly fly end... There has never been an attempt to my knowledge to hold monthly meetings out here because of the distance between the areas... The big one in Sept, has been the focal point to bring N.,S., and Nv. together to talk over things. Audean
