You new comers are our life blood. Help give us old fart the transfusion we need. But don't dig a hole and shove us in! Yours Warren >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Warren, You are right it wasn't Wayne's, leadership that saw Cal. go down the tubes.. It isn't Joe Brooks either.
When you schedule events and have members who set their own rules fly their own times... and are leaving when you get there at the appointed time. then you have no club. Wayne and I, want Joe Brooks,& Gary Dullagge, to stay with the group, they have more hours in coupes then most any pilots out there.. Joe and Ruth and several others has put their money out to host bar b cues and bring all the fixings to have some people to think it was free for the taking... ask for a donation and you got flack in every direction. Wayne & I laid out money for the nationals as needed... We did a survey to see how many people would attend the Nationals if held on the west cost... we had almost a 80 % return that the planes would be here... we put two years of heart and soul in to the 97 Nationals, here on the West Coast.. to have members to find other things, that was more important- IE: like a different air show here and there. and would not support their own club.. We had very few that had legal excuses for not attending only the ones sick, or with emergencies are the ones I found legit. Had it not been for the directors of Region 3 we would of been in deep trouble.. Percy and wife Georgia, step in and stuck with us all the way thru the show. Joe Brooks, put on a real good talk on coupes. I like you have talked to Joe Brooks he has no hassle in stepping down no one has asked him to do so.... I have talked to Gary Dullagge, he has no problem in being a wing leader....and I might add he is a very good one. You have to have the desire to have a club and then the desire to work for that club not just fly in spend a couple of hours and go your merry way. I am with you, quite frankly if Joe and Gary goes... our plane goes with them. I do not mean as director, I mean quit the club all together. Audean
