Cast my vote with Percy too! But there are still some "social" FBO's out there. If you go to Duncan ( former Kal Aero) at Kalamazoo Mi., you can sit around in a beautiful "ready room" come lounge, in fact there are two, one with charts, phones etc. where you can talk, sleep,( in recliners) or walk through the repair facilities for as long as you like. Also I went to the Erie Islands Wed, "put-in-Bay" for a 100.00 hamburger, and it's what we all remember a small field FBO used to be. After the gal took my money,(9.00 parking fee) we talked a long time (hangar talk) caught the shuttle to town (1.00) had lunch, walked the mile back to the airport, and talked some more before departing. A really nice afternoon out, in spite of my "bobbled" "gusty" x-wind landing at the "Bay". (note the excuse.) Doug
