I am the very proud owner of a COUPE that I very recently bought here in
South Africa.
It is a 415D serial no 4876.It is in a very good condition with 1450 hours
on the airframe and it was retrofitted with a O-235 engine, because of our
hot and high conditions.Repordedly, it is one of two in the world with
O-235 engines and both are in South Africa. It is performing very well
according to its previous owner.
I am in the process of restoring it and it should be flying in two months.
I have one problem though. How does the fuel management system work? The way
I have figured it so far is that the pump continuously pump from the wing
tanks to the header tank with a overflow from the header tank back to the
wing tanks until they are dry.The header tank then serves as a reserve.
Please help me on this one.
