Thanks for the advice received from all you knowledgable list types on fixing my Forney gear height problem.
As is typical with airplane repairs, the further I get into things, the more little problems creep up. The biggest problem I have noticed in recent weeks is a pesky oil leak. It does not seem to be serious in terms of oil loss, in fact I cannnot determine any indication of loss. However, I am getting oil spread over the bottom half of the engine. It appears to be coming from somewhere below the crack-shaft, and is spread over carb, air intake and oil sump. There is a thin coat of oil over most, and a drop of oil forms on the forwardmost air intake spider attack bolt. Any suggestions, on how to find , or what it may be. (repair suggestions appreciated as well) Thanks once again. Steve Finkelman Forney F1 cfiwr. p.s. It does not appear to be coming from the oil breather line, although I have been running the engine--c90--with five quarts oil. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
