Steve:

The way I find oil leaks:

Clean the engine good.
Put some baby powder in a nylon stocking.
Pat the stocking, with the powder, over the 
suspected engine surfaces.  Run the engine
(1/2 hour flight is good).  The powder should
have stayed with the oil, the rest having blew
away.  Re-apply the powder after the landing
and do a run up or use compressed air to blow 
off the powder.  You should then be able to track 
the leak to the source. 

Two points to keep in mind: 
1- Don't powder your air intake and get yourself hurt.  

2- Don't use one of your wife's good stockings and get 
yourself hurt worst.
