Thanks to all of you.
My log books, (6) first entry is dated 3/30 1954. In June of that year
there is a 337 and log entry re: major repair. Possibly the earlier logs
were lost at that time.
Damage to right wing tip, front spar tip,3 ribs and 3 nose ribs, leading
edge, chin cowl, new motor mountand firewall repairs.
I do have the original w& b which has an equipment list but it doesn't
give
the
manufacturer names. With a 14# propellor, [wood] battery, starter , gen,
and voltage reg. it weighed at 753# When it was weighed on 9/14/95 it
came in at 740#. [ the hogs hair in the seats and back weighed 22#!!
I'm wondering about the battery, does it have to be specifically
"aircraft"?
It has been my understanding, I think from Univair, that the 46 C did not
have an approved airplane flight manual. Mine is ser# 573
Due to a "cardiac event" i will probably sell the plane in the fall and
I'd
like
to be sure it's up to snuff.
Thanks to both of you for your time and interest..
Don FL
