Hello, all -- The search for my 'coupe continues...
I've located what looks like I very clean Alon. Up until now, I'd been looking only at 415s, but since I'm not a handy person (and based on some good advice), I started looking at the younger version of our favorite bird. She's not close to home, so I want to make sure it's worth my time & money to go look at her. I had the A&P who looks after her do a pre-purchase inspection, and it's looking good so far. Could you all describe some of the differences between the Ercos & Alons? I realize she's three-control, and has the notched elevator with a some greater travel. What are your thoughts on the C-90? Also, The 'coupe I had the pleasure of flying would not cut the engine if you pulled the mixture lean; is this also true of the Alon? Having spent just about all of my air time in Cessnas, I liked that feature A LOT. I've reached for the wrong knob once or twice and scared the bejeepers out of myself. I'd appreciate your esteemed opinions. Thanks in advance. Leslie, 3B9 _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. Visit http://www.msn.com
