John,

I had the same problem when I flew my coupe with the windows open.  I just put the sponge microphone screen or sock  over the microphone of my Sigtronics.  I don't have a problem anymore.  They cost $1.75 apiece.  They are usually available at FBO's or Sporty's Pilot Shop catalog.  Nothing fancy, but does the job.

John,
There is a company called Headsets Inc which makes a kit to convert about any headset to an ANR (Active Noise Reduction) for roughly $169. I converted mine and it makes a big difference. It cuts down the low frequency rumble that causes fatigue, etc. they have a web page at www.headsetsinc.com check'em out. BTW the offer a 30 day risk free warranty if you are not satisfied. Bose doesn't offer that.
