We have lost a good friend, in a coupe... it was a alon with rag wings here on the west coast some 3 or 4 years ago...The owner had completed every stage of the faa safety courses.....
For some unknown reason, he decided to try to roll or loop it, know one knows , he told his wife he was going to do it.. she folded the wing at the false spar 4 feet end from the tip... He was one of the most safety minded pilots we knew... to this day this bothers us... just can not figure him doing this.... the wing folded upwards and back... We have seen pictures of a Cal. coupe 415D upside down in the air.. owner is not on this list. Audean Woollard N6596Q Salinas, Ca.
